Mesmerizing Songs and Sounds of Healing
Vocal Trio Luminosas to Perform at San Miguel Chapel, September 14
Santa Fe, N.M.– August 15, 2019: Known for creating lush and harmonically healing soundscapes, the powerful vocal trio Luminosas will grace the historic San Miguel Chapel on Saturday, September 14 with a special concert, The Ripple Effect.
Originally from the Pacific Northwest, the professional vocalists and vocal sound healers perform innovative music, created in the moment, in deep connection with the heart. With a focus on the power and beauty of the human voice as a means for healing and transformation, their music is both angelic and earthy, drawing inspiration and energy from the performance space and the people in attendance.
As such, every Luminosas concert is a truly unique experience.
“Luminosas offers a rare combination of intuition, intention, devotion, and musicianship towards fostering personal and collective empowerment,” says Alison Craig of the Seattle Sound Temple. “While some pieces form songs, others are like sacred, spontaneous journeys that lift you into different aspects of yourself.”
”We truly believe that every person has a divine right to express themselves, and when our voices unite in service to the highest and best good for all, evolutionary healing, compassionate connection and real-world change can occur,” says Luminosas.
“The San Miguel Chapel provides an ideal venue, with its lovely acoustics, beautiful interior, and rich history,” says the trio. Oral history holds it was built around 1610 on the site of an ancient kiva of the Analco Indians. Today the chapel holds both Latin and English Mass and hosts concerts by global artists, while honoring the unique history of the land and its people.
In addition to creating and performing music, Luminosas offers voice empowerment workshops and individual sound healing sessions. Luminosas will be leading a Voice Activation and Healing workshop on Sunday, September 15, the day after the concert. The workshop is designed to help participants “cultivate their own voice for personal healing and self-expression.”
Join Luminosas for the concert at San Miguel Chapel Saturday, September 14 at 7:30 pm, and the vocal workshop on Sunday, September 15 at a location to be shared with people who register. Tickets for the concert and the workshop are on sale through EventBrite. The trio is offering special pricing for people interested in both events.

San Miguel Chapel in Santa Fe, New Mexico, is the oldest Church in the United States. Oral history holds that San Miguel Chapel was built around 1610, and it has been rebuilt and restored several times over the past 400 years. The earliest documentation of the existence of San Miguel Chapel is from 1628. The original church, the “Hermita de San Miguel,” was built on the site of an ancient kiva of the Analco Indians. It is believed it was constructed by Tlaxcalan (Tas-cal’-en) Indians who came to New Mexico from old Mexico in 1598 with a Spanish contingent led by Don Juan Oñate. In its early years, the church served a small group of Tlaxcalan Indians, laborers, and Spanish soldiers who lived in this area on the south side of the Santa Fe River. Today the Chapel offers both English and Latin Mass, and hosts concerts featuring musicians from around the world.
